

Infortrend storage could improve data efficiency by up to 85 per cent

Network storage expert Infortrend has revealed that its high-performance solutions have been employed by a leading financial company. The EonStar storage system can create substantial improvements in IT departments thanks to its ability to run data access 85 per cent faster - all the while ensuring continuous use is available.
ILI Prefecture, a financial bureau in China, has chosen EonStar to aids its services to more than four million customers in the Asian country. The company is responsible for making fiscal plans and supporting the economy. EonStar will allow ILI to access more data quickly due to its large capacity and high reliability. There is also the ability to incrementally expand an EonStar system to deal with increased data when required.
Jiang-Ning Ku, IT manager at the financial bureau of ILI Prefecture, says: "The benefits Infortrend storage brings to our information system are evident. It greatly improves our work efficiency, provides necessary capacity and soundly protects our data."
Last month Infortrend reported that it had added two new subsystems to its EonStar technology so that it could handle even the most data-intensive applications.
