Asigra is company to watch, IT publication claims

02 Feb 2010

Asigra has been named as one of the companies to watch in 2010 by Computer Dealer News (CDN). The leading cloud backup and recovery solutions provider is one of the best vendors currently enjoying growth, according to the publication.

"CDN believes Asigra made great strides in the data protection space in 2009 and with a sound channel strategy in place the Toronto-based company will be one to watch out for in 2010," said Paolo Del Nibletto, editor of CDN.

The success of its cloud backup systems, design innovation and an industry-leading channel programme which creates fast and profitable expansion for value-added resellers and managed service providers could make Asigra's partner programme popular with data centre managers. Unlike many similar programmes which are altered to benefit only a vendor's largest associates, the Asigra scheme aims to level the playing field by making contributions on a pro-rata basis.

Asigra recently announced that its Hybrid Cloud Backup platform now offers protection to more than 100,000 sites - meaning it has doubled in popularity over the last 12 months.
