ExaGrid's EX10000E wins gold award from Search Storage

ExaGrid Systems has been handed the gold award by an industry resource in its backup and disaster recovery category. The solutions provider's EX10000E "sits at the nexus" of two of 2009's most popular trends - scale-out network-attached storage management for storage and data deduplication - according to Search Storage.

Data centre managers who choose to deploy EX10000E are given a choice of either post-process or concurrent data deduplication, which enables them to balance deduplication with backup windows depending on their specific requirements. ExaGrid was awarded the prize for its dedication and focus on the data deduplication market in a period during which many vendors have chosen to broaden their product range.

One of the Search Storage judges stated: "ExaGrid remains one of the few [vendors] thinking about how a system grows with the customer. Kudos on taking it to the next level."

ExaGrid recently announced a partnership with Symantec, which will see a new backup solution released that will be compatible with products already offered by both companies.
