Firms may use grants to invest in video surveillance solutions
03 Feb 2010
Small retailers in Britain may want to start planning the introduction of Intransa's video surveillance solutions, after learning that many will be receiving a slice of a government grant. Home Office minister Alan Campbell announced yesterday (February 2nd) that up to 1,000 small businesses would be given cash in order to tighten security.
A Small Retailers Grants Fund has been set up, already totalling roughly £5 million. This will be dished out to business owners to invest in security equipment, such as CCTV, security cameras and shutters. Intransa's video surveillance technology is arguably one of the leading products in the sector.
Mr Campbell said: "This fund was set up to provide real help to the small businesses that need it the most and I am delighted that more than 1,000 retailers will benefit from the increased security these grants will provide."
Intransa recently announced the next developments in its VideoAppliance family which will further simplify the process of installing surveillance cameras.
