Use of Aastra Clearspan helps firms to meet E911 regulations

An internet protocol (IP) phone solutions provider has had an award-winning appliance certified as suitable for passing E911 regulations after deploying Aastra Clearspan. 911 Enable's Emergency Gateway product has been awarded the status since using Clearspan 14.
Aastra's Clearspan 14 solution allows users to operate a reliable and scalable phone network. Meeting E911 obligations is critical for many of Aastra's customers, so being able to do so with the cost-effective and efficient Clearspan 14 may be considered good news throughout the industry.
Lev Deich, director at 911 Enable, said: "This certification reflects our ongoing commitment to provide E911 support for IP-enabled deployments. Enterprises can implement Aastra's Clearspan with confidence that a reliable E911 solution is available for their entire deployment."
Earlier this month, Aastra was named as one of the top three telephony vendors in Europe. The Synergy Research Group named it as one of the best-performing firms in the market after a significant market share gain in the final quarter of 2009.
