CTERA Announces Enterprise Data Services Platform Release

CTERA Networks has announced that it has released version 5.0 of the CTERA Enterprise Data Services Platform, the culmination of the company's foundational product vision following its launch in 2013.

The release of the new platform required two years of engineering to fully unify and extend the capabilities of the original CTERA Platform, which has been designed by the firm to provide a comprehensive solution that encompasses all areas of data management.

CTERA 5.0 is a comprehensive data services platform that offers a combination of software and hardware solutions for IT organisations to successfully manage their data and enable mobile collaboration between users. Some of the main features of the platform include worldwide data support, integrated security software, functionality across any device, and an easy to understand user interface.

According to CTERA, the platform allows international enterprises to address all aspects of file storage, file sharing, privacy and governance, and data protection from one secure solution deployed on the selected cloud infrastructure.

Liran Eshel, CEO and co-founder of CTERA Networks, has revealed that the realise of 5.0 now allows enterprise data to follow users "wherever they work in the world".

Eshel continued: “CTERA has embarked upon a journey with the modern enterprise, helping tens of thousands of organisations transform enterprise IT departments into IT-as-a-Service business partners by delivering a truly unified file services and data protection solution that empowers both the employee and the IT manager."
