Feros Care Provides Telehealth Service Through LifeSize Video
Australian healthcare provider Feros Care has plumped for LifeSize as the platform for its new remote diagnosis and internal meetings video solution.
The organisation, which delivers aged and community care services to 800 clients, needs to operate over a 1000 kilometre spread of the Eastern Australian seaboard. To bridge what can often be considerable geographical distances between staff, patients and other Feros team members, the organisation started evaluating video conferencing as a possible solution a year ago.
To save time and travel costs, the company selected seven LifeSize Express 220 room-based video devices and a LifeSize Passport to deliver minor consultations for patients and replace the need for some face-to-face internal meetings.
Feros is also delivering video conferencing capability to Android smartphones via the LifeSize ClearSea HD video license feature for remote workers, a move welcomed by the organisation.
"If carers are in a house with clients and want to show a wound or want to report back to base to get a nurse to look over something that happened to one of the residents, they can do that," said Feros Care’s IT and communications manager Glenn Payne.
LifeSize provides practical and cost-effective video solutions for businesses of all sizes.
