CARFAX, a leading vehicle history data provider, is reporting a 25 per cent boost to Oracle performance and a 90 per cent reduction to complexity, having virtualised its infrastructure with Xsigo Data Center Fabric.

In replacing its legacy infrastructure of hard-wired switch and port technologies, CARFAX has been able to improve the performance of the network and simplify its operation, which is heavily reliant on a primary data centre in the United States.

S.K. Vinod, Vice President of product management at Xsigo, said: “the team at CARFAX...arrived at a solution that both saved the company money and provided a superior user experience”.

The Xsigo deployment allows CARFAX to optimise its daily gathering of information from 35,000 sources and database maintenance of the ten billion records detailing light truck and used car use in the United States and Canada.
