IDC Reports 519 Per Cent Three-Year Riverbed ROI

Riverbed customers can expect a three-year ROI of 519 per cent and an average payback of just over five months, according to research by market intelligence firm IDC.

The figures are gleaned from a recently released report, “Realising Business Value and ROI with Application-Aware Network Performance Management”, based on interviews conducted with Riverbed Cascade enterprise customers in spring 2012.

The report also says that enterprises employing Riverbed technology can cut the length of the average help desk call by 92 per cent. They can enjoy average annual benefits of $43,601 per 100 users, too, thanks to improvements in productivity which save 12,000 hours a year. In addition, end-user productivity is enhanced as a result of downtime being cut by 67 per cent.
