Riverbed Technology, a world leader in data protection, has been highlighting product security as the US Congress debates the Cybersecurity Act of 2012.

As the US government examines ways to protect different parties, Riverbed has been discussing the importance of businesses safeguarding their own infrastructures and the role its products can play in offering protection. Riverbed has mentioned “code injection, cross-site scripting, insecure direct object references” and “cross-site request forgery” as some of the most common web application vulnerabilities.

Riverbed's Stingray platform offers application delivery service protection and fights off numerous malicious threats.

Additionally, Riverbed’s Cascade software is a powerful monitoring tool that carefully logs interactions for streamlined analysis and security automation. Cascade interacts with the company’s Steelhead programme to provide frameworks that enforce actions globally while ensuring continuous packet capture for forensic analysis.
