20 April 2012 15:39:00

VM-aware storage specialist Tintri has announced a very successful first quarter of the year with the addition of over 30 new customers taking its overall total to more than 70 worldwide. The storage vendor also reports that customers have doubled the number of VMs they’re typically running off one VMstore appliance to around a hundred.

Vyatta also mentions in its press release that the sectors the solution has been deployed in are more varied than ever with customers based in locations from Kazakhstan to Japan. Vyatta CEO Kieran Harty speculated on the growth: “Our VM-aware storage approach has emerged as a powerful alternative to legacy storage hardware and it’s poised to drive us to even greater growth in 2012 and beyond.”

The VM-aware solution is proving to be a good fit for companies looking for storage specifically designed for a virtual environment.
