LifeSize Discusses Business Benefits Of Mobile Working

Lifesize - Video Conferencing

Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) is not the exception but the rule when it comes to IT devices in the corporate environment, warns video expert LifeSize.

Though the company is not convinced the PC is as dead as some pundits claim, it does say that the reality of BYOD – aka ‘consumerisation of IT’ – allied to the rising expectations of employees that they will get the same high-quality experience from their work electronic devices as they do from the ones they use at home is something business leaders really need to get on-board with.

Smartphones and tablets can actually make employees a lot more productive – enabling them to easily share information anywhere and anytime, seamlessly integrating the company across different time zones or even continents.

As a result, it says, it’s time to start offering useful applications and services direct on employee smartphones and tablets, such as remote hosting of meetings supported by video.

Value-added LifeSize distributor Zycko is a BYOD specialist, having recognised early on the evolution of flexible working and the effect this would have on our working lives when combined with mobile devices.

LifeSize is the business video conferencing arm of IT supplier Logitech.
