LifeSize Launches Multipoint Enterprise Edition

Lifesize - Video Conferencing

HD video communications system market leader LifeSize has a new solution for its most demanding enterprise customers.

With the enterprise edition of its LifeSize UVC Multipoint offering, corporations can now get business video at quality levels indistinguishable from hardware based multipoint control units – but with the flexibility of a software-based approach, with the added bonus of being able to scale up at the rate of only one port at a time if they so choose.

That’s a feature, says LifeSize’s VP and GM for video solutions, Michael Helmbrecht, that means video is now as easy to start installing at bigger firms as it has been for smaller ones. “Our goal is to make multiparty calling less complicated and accessible to all: work groups, sales teams, customers, vendors and even Microsoft Lync customers.”

The new product has been specifically designed to make multiparty calling accessible to any user of a standards-based video conferencing system, says the company. It also offers superior customer experience for all callers in a session via its support of 1080p30 scale resolution, scheduling and a dedicated encoder per conference participant.

LifeSize is the video conferencing business solutions arm of Logitech.
