Lifesize Transforms Video Conferencing With Two New Solutions

Lifesize - Video Conferencing

Lifesize, a division of Logitech, has unveiled two new video conferencing solutions that will bring video collaboration to organisations of all sizes.

The company – a specialist in communication technologies – has released the Lifesize Icon 400 and Lifesize Icon Flex. Both solutions are designed to bring simple, reliable, scalable and affordable HD video conferencing to every person and conference room regardless of the device, application or browser they use.

As consumer applications such as Skype change the way people are accustomed to communicating with one another, there is now increasing pressure on companies of all sizes and sectors to deliver similarly innovative technologies in the workplace. Lifesize has delivered this and much more with its latest releases.

The Lifesize Icon 400 and Icon Flex work with any desktop computer or  laptop; all the user needs is internet access to connect to the cloud-hosted video conferencing solution. Moreover, the Lifesize Icon Flex has been created to transform collaboration applications – including the likes of Skype, Microsoft Lync, Google Hangout, Cisco Jabber and more – into a stunning quality video conferencing solution.

Craig Malloy, founder and CEO of Lifesize, said: “Customers tell us that they want video conferencing that simply works: no hassle or complexity, without lengthy installs and IT involvement. They use video on their phones and they want that exact same simple-to-connect-to-anyone-from-anywhere experience in the office.”

The Lifesize Icon 400 has been created for use in huddle and small meeting rooms. It is easy to install and use, with a clear and intuitive interface, allowing the user to effortlessly schedule, initiate and manage a video call.

Furthermore, when paired with the Lifesize Cloud, the Icon 400 can be scaled to cope with group calls of up to 25 participants. The HD video solution also boasts additional security features such as firewall/NAT traversal and updates are all seamlessly provided via the cloud.

The Lifesize Icon Flex, meanwhile, is designed for businesses that already deploy a personal collaboration application, such as those already mentioned, as a primary meeting option. The Icon Flex enables the user to turn their small meeting environment into the complete conference room.

By plugging the Icon Flex into their PC or Mac, the user can transform an average video call into a far superior experience with superb video and audio quality. It can also be configured with a beam-forming table top microphone or the Lifesize Phone to satisfy the most demanding audio and video collaboration requirements that your hard working teams can throw at it while performing beautifully.

Malloy added: “Lifesize is the first to deliver an option for every scenario – whether you are new to video and looking for a complete enterprise solution for every person and every room, have a video application running within your environment but need a better conference room experience, or you are looking for a service that slides right into how you work without friction – we make video calling a remarkable and compelling experience.”
