LifeSize: Video’s ROI So Much More Than Reduced Travel Costs
True or false: all modern business video can do for you is reduce travel cost, by taking away the need for quite so much staff ‘road warrior’ time?
If you chose the former, you might be surprised to learn that most commentators agree travel reduction, while a real (and very welcome) aspect of video return on investment (ROI), is actually just one aspect of its benefits.
Take Julie Steele, corporate communications manager at high definition video conferencing player LifeSize, for example.
Steele has recently posted a range of ROI comments from customers of her firm’s solutions that suggest employee satisfaction is coming in as a very strong plus-point, too – quoting organisational leaders at firms like Canadian packaging firm UniPac to that effect, with the latter noting, “I think the real benefit comes from the relationships that video helps us build between offices and the flexibility it affords our employees.”
She has also talked to customers who report the contribution video’s made to decision-making – with Dutch business consultancy Rembrandt F&O praising the way video’s made meetings “more effective,” for example, allowing more agenda items to get worked through per session.
