Cloud Will Transform the EMEA Networking Landscape

The latest predictions from analyst house IDC have pointed to the fact that the cloud is becoming an increasingly important technology for EMEA organisations. According to analyst Sylvia Wünsche: "...[cloud computing] enables IT organisations to become more cost-efficient and agile — for example, by centralising their applications, servers, data, and storage resources, and dynamically moving their resources, or virtual machines."

IT, IDC suggests, is transforming under the force of IaaS, and this shift is facilitated by the cloud. This means that for vendors such as cloud backup expert Asigra, quality of service is key. In a marketplace that is reacting to economic turmoil, providers are competing on a pounds per gigabyte basis, constantly looking to undercut the competition. However, Asigra recently noted in a blog that as a cloud backup provider, it offers the best value for money, stating that quality of service will become the true differentiator in the long run.
