08 February 2012 18:13:00
India’s government has revealed that it depends on videoconferencing experts LifeSize for many of its communication needs. In response to the growing budgetary pressures, videoconferencing has become the method of choice for communication between various departments, like district and state headquarters, and other institutions, such as prisons, courts and schools.
It is estimated that the Indian government has a budget of around $20m to further its installation of videoconferencing facilities throughout its departments, and LifeSize technology is thought to take a predominant role in such efforts. Having implemented such facilities, the Government can expect to see a return on its investment within around six to eight months. Aside from the savings incurred from travel expenses, the mobility of LifeSize’s solutions for smartphone and tablet users were particularly attractive.
