LifeSize Unveils UVC Platform

HD videoconferencing specialist LifeSize has unveiled its new Universal Video Collaboration (UVC) Platform, which is hailed as the industry’s foremost ‘integrated and virtualised software solution for HD video conferencing infrastructure’. The UVC Platform pools the capabilities of a number of standalone products into one interface with a single login.

LifeSize has highlighted the scalability of its new product, which it claims makes it suitable for the changing IT working environment. LifeSize says the scalability allows companies to avoid the potentially expensive up-front costs associated with fixed-capacity hardware.

Colin Buechler, chief executive officer of LifeSize and Logitech senior vice president commented: “Since inception, LifeSize has consistently delivered industry firsts. We were first to HD, first with one button streaming and recording, and now we are redefining video conferencing infrastructure."

Customers will have the option to ‘try before they buy’, allowing them to preview and assess the software.
