Microsemi solutions offer "superior performance"

A Microsemi spokesperson has described the latest products in its midspans range as offering "superior performance". Senior product line manager for Microsemi's PowerDsine midspans Sani Ronen said the new PD3501s are representative of the range.

"Their superior performance includes full data integrity in ten/100/1000 [megabits per second] applications and meets the market's highest margins for EMI Class B," he remarked.

According to Mr Ronen, the devices provide "high quality and reliability" and he is pleased to be able to offer such a service to customers. The organisation claimed the midspans are the "most efficient" power-over-Ethernet platforms available, designed for low energy consumption in no-load and load conditions.

Fully compliant with Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers 802.3af regulations, the PD3501s can remotely power internet protocol security cameras and voice over internet protocol phones, among other technology.

Microsemi recently announced its second-quarter financial results, stating it enjoyed a "rock-solid" performance throughout the three-month period.
