"Outstanding" Aastra Named Enterprise Telephony Vendor of the Year

Aastra has been given the title of Enterprise Telephony Vendor of the Year at the Network World Middle East Awards. The vendor has deployed its solutions at a number of firms in the region, such as Korek Telecom.

Senior editor of Network World Middle East Jeevan Thankappan explained that Aastra took home the prize because of its "outstanding performance and significant impact on the market. The criteria for winning included a variety of indicators, including product innovation, quality of services, major customer wins and commitment to the region".

Other customers in this part of the world that have selected Aastra for their telephony needs include HiConnect Call Center and Bank Pasargad. Vice-president of Aastra for Middle East and North Africa Dr Roger Hage added that the company was "honoured" to be at the centre of such industry praise.

A previous In-Stat report noted that Aastra is becoming an important player in the internet protocol telephony sector as more enterprises purchase related technology.
