Riverbed Tops Gartner's Magic Quadrant For WAN Optimisation

Riverbed Technologies has been named the clear market leader in wide area network optimisation vendors on Gartner’s most recent Magic Quadrant.

Speaking of Riverbed’s inclusion in the prestigious Magic Quadrant, a spokesperson from Gartner said the WAN optimisation solution provider: “Offers the broadest set of capabilities in the industry, including features for large branch networks, data centre replication and storage networking applications.”

Gartner also recognised Riverbed’s 2011 acquisitions of Aptimize and Zeus, the upcoming introduction of Virtual Edge and the current partnerships with Akamai to develop a SaaS acceleration solution, and a reseller agreement with EMC, as reasons why the market leader still maintains a strong focus on innovation despite its size and ongoing success.
