Leading technology site tmcnet.com has reported on VoIP specialist snom’s new firmware update for its snom m9 DECT phone. The manufacturer claims that while the firmware hasn’t vastly altered the phones functionality, it has made it even more proficient at serving the needs of small businesses and other high-volume call destinations.
The m9 uses Digital Enhanced Cordless Technology and offers features including eight talk time hours, four simultaneous calls and usb connectivity allowing the user to power the device from any USB enabled power source. It is also the only cordless phone in production that is plug-and-play, IPv6 compatible.
A snom spokesperson reinforces its environment suitability: “We designed the snom m9 with special attention to the intuitive and problem-free calling needs of the average home consumer while applying the reliability required for use as part of business solution.”
