Stone exclusively to supply Huawei Symantec's storage and security to the UK education market

The joint venture between system builder Stone and Huawei Symantec is expected to increase its footprint in the UK public sector. The entire range of Huawei Symantec products will be offered by Stone. Technologies on offer include NAS and SAN, all entry-level products and those designed for high-performance computing-based enterprise environments.

According to Huawei Symantec’s Director of Channel Sales and Alliances, Jon Reeves-Serby, 20 years of experience made Stone the perfect partner.

Stone’s Chief Executive, James Bird, commented: "Through this exclusive partnership with Huawei Symantec, Stone now has a far broader product portfolio – which includes both Stone-branded industry-leading servers and a new, innovative storage proposition – to bring to the education market for the first time.

"Huawei Symantec products are priced competitively, of high quality and offer excellent performance and reliability. Our customers will benefit from data storage technology that is around 40 percent more cost-effective on a like-for-like basis, compared to other vendors in this space."
