IT energy management expert Verdiem has announced the interoperability between its Surveyor 6 technology and Cisco EnergyWise. The partnership, it claims, will deliver customers energy savings of up to sixty per cent and improve green credentials by reducing CO2 emissions.

Verdiem’s Surveyor technology allows users to easily and efficiently control and manage the energy used by devices such as Macs, PCs and other technology running Cisco EnergyWise, including ‘wireless access points, routers, switches, and power distribution units’.

The partnership has benefitted customers such as the Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS), which has employed a Cisco borderless network alongside Verdiem Surveyor 6 to meet its carbon emissions targets, saving around £2.73 million in operational costs.

Damian Parkinson, director of information and communication technologies for GMFRS commented: "Deploying Verdiem Surveyor 6 and utilising Cisco EnergyWise capabilities has allowed us to significantly reduce our carbon footprint and accurately track our progress toward meeting our energy efficiency goals".
