Whiting & Partners has implemented Talari’s WAN virtualisation technology. The company aimed to create high-availability networks for voice and data applications.

Prior to its relationship with Talari, Whiting & Partners relied solely on a Multi-Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) network with a single DSL-based tail circuit connecting each site. The company found this network erratic and suffered with regular and lengthy website crashes.

Alongside Talari, the company has retained its MPLS network. It has also added an additional DSL connection to each location. Chris Haydon, Whiting & Partners’ IT manager commented:  “This gives us complete carrier diversity and, with Talari, the resiliency that we were looking for.”

Through the application of the WAN Virtualisation appliances the company has increased the reliability of its network for applications, including real-time and interactive, halved the cost of Mbps and has seen a fivefold increase in bandwidth.
