Zycko Achieves Riverbed Authorised Consulting Partnership Status

First value-added distributor in UK to secure specialist WAN optimisation accreditation

31 August 2011, Cirencester - Zycko, the value-added distributor of leading edge IT solutions, today announces its new status as a Riverbed® Authorised Consulting Partner (RACP). Zycko has distributed the wide area network (WAN) optimisation market leader’s solutions for more than five years, and will now offer authorised Riverbed network design, as well as Riverbed Technology Professional Services (RPS), to increase solution value and benefit its channel partners.

As a Riverbed distribution leader in EMEA, Zycko met the vendor’s criteria for RACP accreditation, which includes at minimum five dedicated post-sales Riverbed consultants within the organisation, expertise and articulation of the WAN optimisation solution, and the ability to service specific geographical areas.

And, this accreditation will mean our partners can now offer Riverbed Technology Professional Services through Zycko to complete more sales and provide an even higher quality solution to customers. Year-on-year, we registered a 65% sales increase in the first quarter of 2011, which reinforces the popularity of this Gartner-recognised technology.”

Zycko’s team is comprised of more than 40 Riverbed Sales Accreditation Program (RSAP)-accredited account managers, 15 Riverbed Certified Solutions Professional (RCSP)-accredited engineers and five accredited Riverbed trainers. The value-added distributor boasts a vast array of mobile demonstrations and loan equipment, and can now provide solutions training throughout Europe utilising mobile training kits and its fixed demonstration labs in the UK, Germany and France. Also, Zycko’s maintenance support organisation, Smartpac, is a Riverbed Authorised Support Partner (RASP), allowing the distributor to offer Level 1 and Level 2 operational support services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
