Zycko Enhances Leading Edge Technology Portfolio

Zycko has signed an agreement with Fujitsu Siemens Computers (FSC) to deliver its FibreCAT SX60 and FibreCAT SX80, two modular disk storage arrays designed for the SME market.

FibreCAT SX storage solutions deliver datacenter class functionality at an affordable price. FibreCAT SX has been designed specifically for ease of installation and simple administration to reduce costs. FibreCAT SX exploits innovative technology to deliver leading price/performance and provide partners with an industry-leading solution.

The FibreCAT SX60 and FibreCAT SX80 are easy to install and manage - the arrays come pre-loaded with intuitive web interface management software and are integrated with Microsoft Virtual Disk Services (VDS); and Windows Volume Copy Shadow Services (VSS) for improved data protection. In the event of system downtime or power failure, the arrays use innovative FibreCap technology to write their cache contents onto a removable Compact Flash card. The energy/power for this data transfer is provided by a capacitor, rather than a battery. This means that recharge time is reduced, thereby minimising system vulnerability.

Combining these technologies with Snapshot functionality, included as a standard solution feature, ensures the FibreCAT SX is the industry leading solution in its class.
