Tintri VMstore T5000 Wins Silver Medal

Tintri Inc., a leading producer of all-flash VM-aware storage (VAS) for virtualisation and cloud environments, has announced that its Tintri VMstore T5000 All-Flash series earned the silver medal in the All-Flash Storage category of SearchStorage.com’s 2015 Products of the Year.

The Tintri VMstore T5000 all-flash VAS series was introduced in August 2015 and wowed the SearchStorage.com editorial staff, team of users, industry experts, analysts and consultants who judged the product on a variety of criteria including: innovation, performance, ease of integration into existing environments, ease of use and manageability, functionality and value.

“Out of 146 entries, only 18 products walked away as winners and we’re extremely proud to say that Tintri VMstore T5000 was one of them,” said Yael Zheng, CMO at Tintri. “The T5000 series separates itself from the all-flash pack because it’s VM-aware. Instead of managing LUNs and volumes, our customers only manage the virtualised applications that matter to their organisation—they can guarantee performance for those applications and shift time and resources to more strategic projects. Winning this award further validates the value of VM-aware storage, and we will continue to extend our lead in storage built specifically for virtualisation and cloud.”

Tintri’s VMstore T5000 series is the perfect solution for virtualised servers, databases, desktops, test and development and cloud. It stores up to 73 TB of capacity and 5,000 virtual machines across multiple hypervisors in just two rack units. All Tintri VMstores share a common operating system and real-time analytics so customers can optimise workloads across platforms.

In an article outlining the win, SearchStorage.com senior news director Dave Raffo noted, “As with all Tintri storage, VM-aware management means customers don’t have to provision LUNs or deal with NAS mount points.” In fact, one judge said, “VMstore was very innovative when it first came out several years ago, and this iteration evolves it.”
