Zycko’s Lifesize Lync Bundle Optimises Video And Your Investment

Lifesize - Video Conferencing

Zycko’s Lifesize Lync Bundle promises to provide a simple, cost effective solution for customers looking to connect Microsoft Lync users, to the boardroom and beyond.

Any company that is currently using, or looking to use, Microsoft Lync as its unified communications platform can enhance how they use the tool by adopting Zycko’s bundle. The Lifesize Lync Bundle also allows users to maximise the investment they make into Microsoft’s communication tool through a host of innovative and effective features.

By offering both dual screen and multiparty video conferencing for the boardroom, the bundle provides end users with a practical and flexible tool for Lync-integrated video communication, Zycko says. Moreover, by taking a collaborative approach to ensure that Lync is interoperable with other open-standards video systems, the Lifesize Bundle opens the door for a far more holistic and far-reaching solution.

For companies with a widely distributed workforce or customer-base with which it needs to be in regular contact, this is a well-suited and comprehensive communication solution.

The standalone Lync product provides desktop-only video, static multiparty videoconferencing, and Lync-to-Lync communication. However, when enhanced with Zycko’s Lifesize Lync Bundle, customers can perform organisation-wide video conferencing to any location and any device, partake in industry leading continuous presence multiparty videoconferencing, and have the ability to connect Lync users with any other traditional video conferencing tool.

One of the key components of Zycko's bundle is the Lifesize Icon which offers a 'smart video experience’: A radically simplified and frustration-free high definition video conferencing tool an ideal vehicle for multiparty collaboration.

Other options add additional flexibility. UVC Multipoint and UVC Video Server give the customers the option for hardware or virtualised operation and enable video conference calls with large groups of people, all connecting from different devices and in different locations. Meanwhile the Lifesize UVC Manager helps video administrators efficiently manage, monitor, schedule and upgrade complex video conferencing infrastructure and endpoints in their own networks and in remote networks behind firewalls.

Giovanni Mezgec, general manager for Lync product marketing at Microsoft, commented on the corporate affiliation. He said: “Microsoft’s relationship and joint product development with Lifesize is of great value in our efforts to maximise adoption of unified communications video and collaboration solutions by everyone.”

The scalable solution can be catered to a customer’s specific needs, ensuring they have a video-calling product that will allow them to run their business effectively and efficiently.

The fact that the vast majority of workers today have tablets and smartphones, which are supported by Zycko’s Lifesize Lync Bundle, opens up a wealth of opportunities to improve company efficiency. Previous ‘dead time’ as employees were sat on trains, on their sofa or even while in flight – with more and more airlines now offering onboard Wi-Fi – can now be turned into times where they can communicating with colleagues or clients with this seamless video-call technology.

Lifesize is the HD video solutions arm of IT firm Logitech.
