New Braunfels Utilities (NBU)

“We originally used DLT tapes for backup, but the company was growing and the process eventually became inefficient,” noted Jay Jahns, IT technician for NBU. “We were also consuming disk space quickly and wanted to upgrade from DLT. It was time for a network makeover.” Additionally, NBU wanted to institute a strong retention policy with the new equipment implementation. NBU began to search for a D2D2T solution and reviewed products and proposals from several storage vendors.
