Hitachi SMB Bundle

With the Hitachi Backup in a Box, two core technologies have been bundled together to create a cost effective solution which helps to enable centralised storage with efficient data management and backup.

The Hitachi Backup in a Box is unique to the SMB market due to the technical and monetary benefits over the competition. It delivers great margin opportunities in an uncompetitive market.

Specification

The Hitachi Backup in a Box bundle comes in 4 offerings, a 6Tb and 9Tb and two 12Tb options.

  • HDPS powered by Commvault enables backup up to 10 or 20 servers depending on the bundle
  • Backup includes primary applications such as Microsoft Exchange, SQL and Sharepoint
  • Additional application agents available
  • Each bundle includes a disk connector option to enable backups to be written to disk
  • There is an option for single/dual tape connector which allows tape backup for off-site copy
  • Professional services included for basic installation, configuration and knowledge transfer
  • Additional Professional Services can be purchased if required
  • Options available which included a 3 day certified training course for HDPS (one candidate)

Hitachi Simple Modular Storage 100

The SMS100 is a simple and easy to manage array that is offered in 3 capacities. These are the 6Tb, 9Tb and 12Tb disk capacity options. This is based on Hitachi 750Gb and 1Tb SATA drives. All options also include dual Active/Active controllers with 2Gb of cache. It is assumed that this device will be fitted into an existing 19” rack and is supplied with 2 universal rail kits to enable this.
