SNOM provides primarily SIP based products in the area of
Voice-over-IP.

Snom Technology AG develops and manufacturers Voice-over-IP (VoIP) telephones and related equipment based on the IETF open standard SIP (Session Initiation Protocol). Recognised for its high-quality, customisable and cost-effective business solutions, snom is also differentiated by the company’s ten-year history in the VoIP industry, and its dedication to high security standards.

All of Snom’s software exists in the firmware on its phones - making it easier for users to download updates and new features. snom customers benefit from the interoperability and flexibility that snom telephones offer, including plug-and-play integration and universal compatibility with any SIP-based telephony platform.

The Linux-based VoIP telephones support all common standards, as well as the latest technology platforms including STUN (Simple Traversal of UDP through NATs), NAT (Network Address Translation) and ENUM (telephone number mapping). All snom phones are compatible with SIP-based telephone systems and system components including open source platforms such as Asterisk, SER or sipXpbx, and proprietary solutions offered by Snom’s certified partners.

The devices are suitable for use in small and medium-sized enterprises, home offices, and for Internet Service Providers, carriers, and OEM customers.
